WATERVILLE, Maine - The Thomas women's track and field team broke multiple school records in the New England Division III Indoor Championship, hosted by Middlebury College.
In the first event for the Terriers, the team of
Maeghan Bernard (Winslow, Maine),
Sophia Lingar (Danville, N.H.),
Julia Reny (Gardiner, Maine) and
Amanda Winslow (Mapleton, Maine), came in 21st place in the distance medley. They were able to set a new school record with a time of 15:35.15.
The second event was the 4x200 relay race, in which Thomas finished 12th. The team of
Madyson Redding (Milford, Maine),
Onyx Emelo (Portland, Maine),
Jessica Jensen (Naples, Maine), and
Ellie Michaud (Falmouth, Maine) set a new school record with a time of 1:55.99.
The last event the Terrier women competed in was the 4x400 relay race, finishing in 21st place. The team of
Molly Walker,
Sydney Huntington-Strohm (St. Johnsbury, VT), Redding and Reny finished with a time of 4:38.80.
UP NEXT: The Terriers will travel to Myrtle Beach in two weeks to compete in the Myrtle Beach Collegiate Challenge to open up their outdoor season.
