Men's Tennis Tops Green Mountain, 8-1

RUTLAND, Vt. --- The Thomas College men's tennis team ran its unbeaten streak to six matches Saturday with an 8-1 win over Green Mountain College at the Vermont Sport and Fitness Club.

The Terriers (6-7, 3-1 NAC) grabbed a 3-0 lead after doubles as Tyler Small (Surry, Maine / Ellsworth) and Zachary Disch (Waterville, Maine / Waterville) posted an 8-5 win over Connor Braden and Truman Cressey at No. 1 doubles, freshmen Ross Munn (Brunswick, Maine / Brunswick) and Nathan Philbrook (Rockland, Maine / Oceanside) topped Grey McCampbell and Thomas Grunow, 8-2, at No. 2 doubles and Caleb Mora (sr., Surry, Maine / Ellsworth) and Joseph Greco (sr., Greene, Maine / St. Dominic Academy) paired to take out Eric Wade and Alex Reedy by the same score at No. 3 doubles.

Thomas nearly ran the table in singles as well with Disch, Mora, Munn, Philbrook and Greco scored straight-set wins. The only stumble came at first singles where Braden topped Small, 6-0, 6-7 (5), 1-0 (5).

The Terriers continue their road trip Sunday with a 1 p.m. North Atlantic Conference dual at MCLA in North Adams, Massachusetts.
