Husson Spoils Senior Day for Men's Lax

Waterville, Maine. – The Thomas College Men's Lacrosse team (4-8, 4-3 NAC)  lost to the Husson Eagles  (7-9, 5-1 NAC) 14-5 this afternoon on muddy Alumni Field. Jeffery Morse led the Terriers with a hat trick and one assist. Ben Laundry led the Eagles with three goals.

The Terriers score first when Morse scored on a man up opportunity  to make it 1-0 at the 12:24 mark in the first period. Husson answered back two minutes later when scored found the back of the net.

The Eagles scored the next three goals to give them a 4-1 lead before the Terriers was able to capitalize on a man up opportunity . Freshman Bradley Stiles got a pass from  Morse and found the back of the net to make it 4-2.  The Eagles scored six unanswered  goals in the second period to take  a 8-2 lead into halftime.

The Eagles came out strong at the beginning of the half scoring three more times push their lead to 11-2. The Terriers scored their third goal at the 3:37 mark when Morse was able to find the back of the net for his second  goal of the game.

In the fourth period the Eagles added three goals to make it 14-3, before Morse completed his hat trick when he scored at 10:32 mark off of a Gunnar Shelton assist. The Terriers got the  final goal of the game when Sean Machin received a pass from Matt Quesada to make it 14-5.

Terriers goal keeper Jesse Morkeski made 28 saves on 38 shots for the Terriers.

The Eagles goalie John Hooper made four saves on seven shots.

The Terriers will be on the road Thursday April 28th as the travel  to take on Regis at 4:00 p.m.
