Thomas College

Toby begins her college basketball career at Thomas after a storybook career at Maranacook.  A tremendously gifted offensive threat, Toby will be counted on to have an immediate impact for the Lady Terriers.  She will be an integral part of Thomas's high scoring offense as she can shoot the "3" and can score off the dribble.  Toby was a 3 sport standout at Maranacook, where she excelled in soccer, and softball, as well as, basketball.  As a high school basketball player she scored over 1000 points, was named KVAC and Kennebec Journal Player of the Year 3 times, and was named to several All-State teams.  Toby is also a member of the women's soccer team where she was an All-NAC selection.

Coach's Comment: "We are very fortunate to have a player like Toby.  She obviously can put up some gaudy numbers, but more importantly she is a winner who can bring that attitude to our program.  She is as gifted a scorer to ever wear a Thomas uniform.  What I am really impressed with about Toby's game that probably goes unnoticed, is how efficient she is offensively.  Everybody sees the points she scores, but it amazes me that she scores as much as she does without taking an abundance of shots.  She has the ability to score in many different ways.  She can knock down the "3", as well as, create her own shot, and she knows how to get to the free throw line where she is an 80% shooter.  ”

Toby is the daughter of Ken and Nacny Martin and has not yet declared a major.
