- The Hornets started the game well, dominating play early on.
- Several shots on goal saw Terrier goalkeeper Eliya Drummond make some important saves to keep the game tied, 0-0.
- Six minutes into the game the Hornets found the opener, taking a 1-0 lead.
- A shot from Samantha Thebarge just minutes after the Hornets second goal required a good save from the opposing goalkeeper.
- The Terriers went into the second quarter down 0-2, but the Hornets continued to keep their pace early on.
- The Hornet lead grew to six goals by halftime, but a shot on goal from Tatiana Roque kept things positive headed into the break.
- Drummond had an incredible start to the third quarter, making five saves in the first few minutes.
- Soon after the Hornets found the back of the net two more times to make it 0-7.
