Women's Volleyball Earns Dominant 3-0 Win Against UMFK

Waterville, ME – The Thomas College women's volleyball team delivered a dominant performance Saturday afternoon, sweeping the University of Maine at Fort Kent Bengals in straight sets (25-12, 25-9, 25-10) inside Larry Mahaney Gymnasium during their Homecoming Match.

How It Happened:
  • Terriers and Bengals battled back and forth early until the terriers jumped ahead behind a pair of service aces from Addison Lebel and strong offensive play from Natalie Roy, building an 11-5 advantage.
  • A serving run from Camille Gibson helped the Terriers pull away late in the first set, while kills from Lindsay Pool, Haley Vickery, and Lebel secured the 25-12 opening-frame victory.
  • The Terriers overwhelmed Fort Kent to begin the second set, racing to a 7-0 lead behind two solo blocks from Lebel, a kill from the sophomore middle blocker, and multiple Bengal attack errors.
  • Pool, Roy, and Savannah Lopez fueled a mid-set run before Mady Normand delivered a service ace as Thomas stretched its lead to 19-6 and cruised to a 25-9 second-set win.
  • Thomas continued its balanced attack in the third set, opening on an 8-2 run as Jordan Child recorded three early kills while Roy and Lebel added points at the net.
  • Gibson sparked another decisive run with two service aces, helping the Terriers extend the margin to 18-5 before Lebel capped the afternoon with a late ace in the 25-10 set-clinching victory.

  • The Terriers are back in action Tuesday, October 6, when they will host the Monks of Saint Joseph's College of Maine in a non-conference matchup. Match is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. inside the Larry Mahaney Gymnasium.
