Dartmouth, MA. – Sophomore
Addison Lebel tallied five kills and two service aces, while
Camille Gibson recorded a team-high 13 digs, as the Thomas College Women's Volleyball team fell to UMass Dartmouth, 3-0 (25-9, 25-14, 25-19), Tuesday evening at the Tripp Athletic Center moving to 1-7 on the season.
How It Happened:
- Addison Lebel sparked the Thomas offense with an early service ace, while Natalie Roy and Haley Vickery added kills as the Terriers grabbed a 3-2 advantage to open the match.
- UMass Dartmouth responded with a sustained run midway through the opening frame and used a .500 hitting percentage to claim the first set.
- In the second set, kills from Lebel, Jordan Child, and Vickery helped Thomas keep pace as the score remained tied at 7-7 early.
- The Corsairs used a 7-0 run to create separation, but the Terriers answered with points from Mady Normand, Lebel, and Vickery before UMass Dartmouth secured the 25-14 victory.
- Thomas delivered its strongest performance in the third set, jumping out to a 6-3 lead behind a Lindsay Pool service ace, a Lebel kill, and another ace from Lebel.
- The Terriers continued to battle late in the match, using points from Normand, Jordan Child, Pool, and Vickery, along with a Camille Gibson service ace and a Roy kill, to trim the deficit to 21-18.
- UMass Dartmouth closed the match by scoring four of the final five points to complete the sweep.
