Men's Soccer Rolls to 6-0 Win Against VTSU Lyndon

Waterville, ME - Men's Soccer rolled to a dominant 6-0 conference win against the Vermont State University Lyndon Hornets at home on Saturday, September 19th, 2026. A total of 37 different players featured for the Terriers in the win, likely setting a season and possibly an all-time record.

How it Happened:
  • The Terriers started well, controlling almost all of the possession in the opening minutes.
  • In the 12th minute a perfect cross from David Ivarsson found Zayin Clugh, who fired the ball in the net to give the Terriers a 1-0 lead.
  • The Hornets defended well, not giving the Terriers any clear-cut chances for most of the first half.
  • Several Terrier shots were either just wide or saved by the Hornet goalkeeper.
  • In the 33rd minute a pass from Chance Eve found the foot of Serafin Garcia, who curled the ball into the back of the net to double the Terrier lead.
  • Despite having almost all the possession, the Terriers went into halftime only up 2-0.
  • In the 60th minute a penalty kick was awarded to the Terriers, and Adio DeShield-Tankard stepped up and scored to make it 3-0.
  • 11 Minutes later a solo goal from Gabriel Dominicci saw the Terriers take a 4-0 lead.
  • In the final 10 minutes the Terriers continued to dominate, and two goals from Jose Andrade (one assist from Abel Fjeldavli) saw the Terriers earn a dominant 6-0 win.
