Men's Soccer Rolls to 4-1 Win Against University of New England

Waterville, ME - Men's Soccer rolled to a dominant 4-1 win against the University of New England Nor'easters thanks to goals from Cody Robinson and David Ivarsson on Tuesday, September 15th, 2026.

How it Happened:
  • The Terriers dominated from the get-go, with two shots on goal from Adam Elkott requiring to be saved.
  • In the 14th minute Chance Eve was able to help deflect a loose ball from the Nor'easter goalkeeper, and the ball found the foot of Robinson, who tapped in the team's first goal.
  • Just two minutes later Ivarsson scored an incredible free kick from 25 yards out to give the Terriers a 2-0 lead.
  • In the 20th minute the Nor'easters were able to grab a goal back after a wild sequence including an indirect free-kick in the Terrier 18-yard box.
  • Both teams battled for possession for the next 20 minutes, with the next chance coming in the 42nd minute.
  • An excellent free kick from Serafin Garcia looked to be headed for the top right corner, but was denied by the Nor'easter goalkeeper, keeping the score at 2-1 headed into halftime.
  • The Terriers were fortunate just seven minutes after halftime, with the Nor'easters scoring an own goal to make it 3-1.
  • A bad tackle in the 18-yard box led to a Terrier penalty kick in the 59th minute, and Ivarsson was able to convert to make the score 4-1.
  • From then on the Terriers would utilize their bench, and holding the Nor'easters defensively.
  • The Nor'easters picked up a red card in the 80th minute, and the Terriers remained in control to earn a 4-1 win.
