Waterville, ME - Men's Soccer earned a thrilling 4-2 win against the University of Maine Farmington in the team's 2026 conference opener on Friday, September 11th, 2026.

How it Happened:

• The game started with lots of intensity, with both teams running end-to-end to create chances.
• In the 11th minute a cross found the head of a Beaver attacker, giving them an early 1-0 lead.
• However, just six minutes later some quick passing from the Terriers saw David Ivarsson find the bottom right corner, with assists coming from Tre Burgess and Cody Robinson.
• In the 23rd minute the Beavers struck again, this time a shot curled into the top left corner to give them back the lead.
• The Terriers didn't quit, equalizing the game 2-2 in the 28th minute after another quick passing play thanks to a tap-in from Cody Robinson.
• Terrier goalkeeper Jamie Fischer came up with several crucial saves in the next few minutes, denying any chance for the Beavers to go ahead.
• Both teams went into the halftime break tied 2-2.
• The Terriers turned up the intensity to start the second half, controlling much of the ball.
• Shots from Ivarsson and Robinson in the next few minutes sailed just wide, nearly finding the goal.
• In the 81st minute the Terriers finally found the breakthrough.
• A long throw in from Gustav Franzen found the head of Brynjar Johannsson, who flicked it on to Andrew Hodgins, scoring to give the Terriers an important 3-2 lead.
• Just a minute later the Terriers struck again, this time with Jeremiah Gomez cutting inside and finding the back of the net to make it 4-2.
• The Terriers controlled the rest of the game, eventually leading to a huge 4-2 conference win against the Beavers.
