Buzzards Bay, MA - Women's Volleyball traveled to take on Massachusetts Maritime Academy on Thursday, September 10th, 2026. The final score was 2-3, with the Terriers dropping a hard-fought five-set battle. The Terriers now move to 1-2 on the season.

How it Happened:

• Strong early offense from Savannah Lopez, Addison Lebel, and Natalie Roy helped the Terriers to an early lead.
• Maddy Normand delivered back-to-back service aces to push Thomas ahead 16–12.
• Camille Gibson anchored the defense with multiple digs, making several diving plays.
• Kills from Lebel and Roy secured the 25–23 win in the first set and a 1–0 match lead.
• In the second set both teams traded points, with multiple lead changes over the first half of the set.
• The offense stayed balanced thanks to kills from Lopez, Lebel, and Lindsay Pool.
• To close out the second set the Terriers went on a late run, winning 25-23, going up 2-0.
• Despite the Buccaneers jumping out to a lead, kills from Lopez and Gibson kept the Terriers in the set.
• The Terriers had some positive moments, but dropped the third set 19-25, making the match score 1-2.
• In the fourth set the Terriers got off to a great start, jumping out to an 8-3 lead thanks to several kills.
• Gibson continued to dominate with several digs in the set, but the Buccaneers rallied late to secure a 25-18 set win, tying the match up 2-2.
• With the score tied, both teams continued to battle in the fifth and final set.
• The Terriers had narrow leads at 8-6 and 13-12, but ultimately dropped the fifth set, ending the match in a 2-3 loss.

• Women's Volleyball will be back in action on Saturday, September 12th, 2026, for a tri-match in Worcester MA. They will face off against Clark University at 11:00 AM and Fisher College at 1:00 PM.
