Worcester, MA - Thomas College Women's Volleyball competed in a Tri-Match hosted by Clark University on Saturday, September 12th, 2026. The Terriers opened the day with a five-set thriller against Clark before returning to the court for a three-set contest against Fisher College. Thomas moves to 1–4 on the season.
How It Happened:
Match One: Clark University (L, 2-3)
- Addison Lebel and Lindsay Pool opened the match with a combined block to set the tone early.
- Savannah Lopez forced consecutive errors and assisted Natalie Roy to build a 5–2 lead in the first set.
- Thomas controlled the pace with strong defensive plays from Haley Vickery, Camille Gibson, and Jordan Child.
- Maddy Normand added a service ace and steady setting to extend the lead.
- Thomas closed the set with kills from Child, Vickery, Lopez, and Gibson to win 25-21, taking a 1-0 match lead.
- In the second set Clark opened with a strong serving run to take early momentum.
- The Terriers stopped the run with a kill from Pool, but Clark continued to pressure, eventually winning the second set 25-11, tying things at 1-1.
- In the third set Lebel opened up with a kill from Pool, then Lopez was able to force two errors to give the Terriers the advantage.
- Lebel, Roy, and Child controlled the net with blocks and timely swings.
- Clark rallied, but Thomas responded with kills from Vickery and Lopez, plus a service ace from Gibson to win the third set 25-20, taking a 2-1 match lead.
- The Terriers struggled in the fourth set, with Clark earning a 25-8 set win, tying things at 2-2 and taking the match to a fifth set.
- In the fifth set the Terriers opened well, with a kill coming from Normand.
- Clark responded with a run of their own, eventually winning the set 15-9, and winning the match 3-2.

- In the first set of the second match Fisher opened up with several kills to take a 3-0 led.
- Thomas responded with kills from Lopez, Roy, and Lebel to stay within reach.
- Maddy Normand sparked a run with assists to Vickery and Child, and added a kill to tie the set.
- However, the Terriers came up short in the first set, falling 25-23.
- Both teams traded points to start the second set, with both teams being tied at five a piece early on.
- Fisher eventually built separation with a long scoring run fueled by strong serving and net play, taking the second set by a score of 25-12.
- In the third and final set Fisher jumped out to a 9-3 lead over the Terriers and never looked back.
- A kill from Lopez followed by a service ace gave the Terriers some hope, making it 11-18, but it was too little too late.
- Fisher went on to win the set 25-13, handing the Terriers a 0-3 match loss.
