Orono, ME - Men's and Women's Outdoor Track & Field swept the 2026 NAC Championships, with both programs bringing home first place trophies after an incredibly lengthy list of top-three individual performances. This was the first Men's title since 2023, and was the first Women's title since 2024. Both teams have now earned their second ever NAC Championships, setting a landmark achievement for both programs.
Women's Outdoor Track & Field:
Women's Outdoor Track & Field cruised to their second ever NAC championship title, racking up a record 235.5 points, a new school record. This performance left little competition for the top, as Husson University finished behind in second place at 179 points, leading to a 56.5 point difference between first and second. Star performer
Emma Burr won an unbelievable six different events, while earning second in one, and third in two more for a total of 80 points, outscoring three schools by herself.
Nabah Yahya (400 Meter Dash, Triple Jump) and
Cassidy Hardy (Discus) were also both crowned as NAC Championships in their respective events, helping the Terriers to a historic and dominant team win. The Terriers had an incredible 24 top-three finishes, listed below.
- Emma Burr placed first in the Women's 100 Meter Hurdles with a time of 14.37 seconds, making her a NAC Champion and earning 10 points toward the team score.
- Burr also placed first in the Women's 100 Meter Dash with a time of 12.17, making her a NAC Champion and earning 10 points toward the team score.
- Burr placed first in the Women's 200 Meter Dash with a time fo 25.82, making her a NAC Champion and earning 10 points toward the team score.
- Burr placed first in the Women's Shut Put with a throw of 11.28 meters, making her a NAC Champion and earning 10 points toward the team score.
- Burr placed first in the Women's Long Jump with a distance of 5.55 meters, making her a NAC Champion and earning 10 points toward the team score.
- Burr placed third in the Women's Triple Jump with a distance of 10.90 meters and earned six points toward the team score.
- Burr placed first in the Women's High Jump with a height of 1.53 meters, making her a NAC Champion and earning 10 points toward the team score.

- Yahya placed second in the Women's 800 Meter with a time of 2:32.90 and earned eight points toward the team score.
- Yahya placed first in the Women's Triple Jump with a distance of 11.48 meters, making her a NAC Champion and earning 10 points toward the team score.
- Celia Stinson placed third in the Women's 800 Meter with a time of 2:38.47 and earned six points toward the team score.
- Stinson also placed third in the Women's 5,000 Meter with a time of 21:12.72 and earned six points toward the team score.
- Cassidy Hardy placed second in the Women's Shot Put with a throw of 11.22 meters and earned eight points toward the team score.
- Hardy also placed first in the Women's Discus with a throw of 36.18 meters, making her a NAC Champion and earning 10 points toward the team score.

- Marina Schwarz placed third in the Women's Shot Put with a distance of 10.68 meters and earned six points toward the team score.

- Chelsey Cote placed second in the Women's Discus with a throw of 33.89 meters and earned eight points toward the team score.
- Kara Anderson placed second in the Women's High Jump with a height of 1.48 meters and earned eight points toward the team score.
- Brienne Eldred placed third in the Women's High Jump with a height of 1.48 meters and earned six points toward the team score.
- Eliza Wheeler placed second in the Women's Hammer Throw with a distance of 40.90 meters and earned eight points toward the team score.
Men's Outdoor Track & Field:
Men's Outdoor Track & Field left it down to the wire, but ultimately came out on top to earn their second ever NAC Championship. They earned 198 total points, a school record, and came out on top against second place University of Maine Farmington, who finished just one point behind at 197. After being ranked #2 in the NAC Pre-Championship poll, the team put in an excellent performance to come out with a narrow one point win. Star performer
Nick Plamondon won an incredible three separate events (100 Meter, 200 Meter, Long Jump), earning 30 points by himself that proved valuable down the stretch.

- Those who have qualified will travel to Springfield College in Massachusetts to compete in the 2026 NCAA Division III New England Championships on Friday and Saturday, May 1st and 2nd, 2026. Start times are TBD.
