Bruns and Anderson Awarded Track & Field CSC Academic All-District Honors

Waterville, ME - Gage Bruns and Kara Anderson have both earned  2026 College Sports Communications Track & Field Academic All-District Honors. To be eligible for Academic All-District recognition, student-athletes must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically with a cumulative grade point average of 3.50 or higher. Eligible nominees are based on TFRRS regional performance rankings at the time of nomination. They must also have a rank in the Top 50 in their region in a single event (XC, indoor or outdoor).

Gage Bruns - Bruns, a junior, became a NAC Champion in two events this spring, the Men's 1,500 Meter run and 4x400 Relay, earning a total of 20 points en route to the team's second NAC title. Bruns was named NAC First Team All-Conference in the 1,500 Meter run, and was named NAC First Team All-Conference in the 4x400 Meter Relay, along with NAC All-Academic Team honors this spring. He also earned NAC First Team All-Conference honors in Cross Country this past fall, placing third in the NAC Championship meet.

Kara Anderson - Anderson, a sophomore, was a key contributor at this year's NAC Championship meet, helping the team to their second NAC title. Anderson placed second in the Women's High Jump event with a height of 1.48 meters, earning eight points toward the team's overall score. Anderson was named to the NAC Second Team All-Conference this spring, and was also named to the NAC All-Academic Team.
