How it Happened:

Game One: 11-7 Win (9 Innings)

• Thomas wasted no time getting on the board in the first inning.
• Nick Griffel opened the scoring with an RBI single, scoring Hayden Dippner.
• Ajay Rychcik followed with an RBI knock of his own, scoring Griffel.
• Gavin Clark added a sacrifice RBI, scoring Rychcik to give Thomas an early 3-0 lead.
• Lesley answered in a big way in the fourth inning, putting together a five-run rally.
• The Lynx took a 5-3 lead, shifting momentum midway through the game.
• The Terriers responded immediately in the bottom half of the fourth.
• Grady Hotham tied the game with a 2-RBI double scoring Jeremy Spencer and Clark
• Nick Griffel came through again with a 2-RBI single, scoring Hotham and Patrick Temby putting Thomas back in front 7-5.
• Thomas extended its lead in the sixth inning with another offensive push, starting with Dippner driving in a run with an RBI single scoring Temby.
• Griffel added two more RBIs on a play that included a defensive error, allowing Dippner and Hotham to score.
• Rychcik capped the inning with an RBI hit scoring Griffel, making it 11-5
• Lesley added two runs in the eighth, but Thomas held strong down the stretch to secure the 11-7 win.

• Lesley took an early lead in the second inning after an RBI ground out, making it 0-1.
• A passed ball allowed another run to score, giving Lesley a 2-0 advantage.
• Both teams settled into a defensive battle over the next few innings, with pitchers on both sides limited scoring chances.
• Kyle Delano had a strong performance for the Terriers on the mound, finishing with six innings pitched and three earned runs.
• Thomas worked to keep the deficit within reach heading into the late innings.
• Lesley added an insurance run in the sixth on a solo home run, extending the lead to 3-0.
• However, the Terriers hadn't given up. In the sixth, Hotham drove in Clark after reaching on an error, cutting the deficit to 3-1.
• Soon after in the seventh Nick Griffel launched a solo home run to bring Thomas within one.
• Despite the late push, Thomas was unable to complete the comeback, as Lesley held on for the 3-2 victory.
