Waterville, ME - Softball opened up their season when they traveled across town to face off against the Colby College Mules in a single seven inning contest. The final score was 0-8 on Saturday, February 28th, 2026.

How it Happened:

• The Terriers started off well, with a deep double to left center from Megan Oberholzer in the top of the first inning.
• Despite the hit from the Terriers, the Mules were able to find a gap on a hard-hit ball to make it 0-2 in the bottom half of the inning.
• A big second inning from the Mules saw them score five runs, capitalizing on defensive errors to make it 0-7.
• The Terriers struggled to find any offensive firepower over the next few innings until Brooklyn Federico sent a double to the left field fence in the sixth inning.
• After the hit the Terriers were unable to capitalize, and the Mules added one more run in the bottom of the sixth to earn a 8-0 win over the Terriers.
