Men's Basketball Celebrates Senior Day with 77-64 Win Against SUNY Delhi

Waterville, ME - Men's Basketball earned a decisive 77-64 win against the SUNY Delhi Broncos on Saturday, February 14th, 2026 in the team's annual "Senior Day". Senior Yasmo Mohamud was recognized and played a crucial role in the win. With the win, the team has qualified for the 2026 North Atlantic Conference Men's Basketball Tournament for the first time since the 2021-22 season.

How it Happened:
  • Both teams traded points to start the game, with Isaiah Godley scored 10 of the team's first 13 points.
  • Several points off the bench from Spencer Minihan, Jayden Kim, and Nate Hebert gave the Terriers a 25-21 lead with six minutes to go in the first half.
  • The Broncos were able to bounce back, going on a run that saw them take a 33-27 lead with just a few minutes to go.
  • TJ Blackmon and Payton Mitchell closed out the half with two points a piece, making it 31-33 at the break.
  • Much like yesterday, the Terriers had an excellent second half.
  • Five minutes into the half the Terriers went on a huge 8-0 thanks to Blackmon, Jayden Desimone, and free throws from Godley to give the Terriers the lead, 46-43.
  • The Terriers continued to roll soon after, with Hebert and Desimone hitting back-to-back threes to make it 54-49.
  • With under five minutes remaining in the game, the Terriers kept their tempo, with huge threes coming on back-to-back-to-back possessions from Minihan and two from Mohamud to make it 75-62.
  • With Mohammad icing the game, the Terriers cruised to a 77-64 win against the Broncos.
