Waterville, ME – Women's Basketball hosted SUNY Cobleskill in a North Atlantic Conference match-up on Friday, February 13th, earning a 50-39 victory over the Fighting Tigers on their home court. Forward Pryelle Kesse-Beda and guard Kay McLellan led the Terriers offensively in the win, finishing with 14 and 12 points, respectively.

• The Fighting Tigers claimed the early lead off the opening tip, but a three-pointer from Deja Hamilton followed by a jumper from Holly Loring quickly evened the score at 5-5.
• Kesse-Beda kept the Terriers offense going midway through the 1st quarter, but a quick response from the Fighting Tigers put the Terriers down 7-10.
• The Terriers flipped the momentum of the game late in the 1st, completing a 13-0 in the final minutes of the quarter to put the Terriers up 20-10 heading into the 2nd.
• Maria Tomova and Brooklyn Calder continued to build momentum for the Terriers early in the 2nd with quick buckets.
• Strong finishes in the paint from Kesse-Beda and McLellan extended the Terriers lead to 14 points midway through the 2nd quarter.
• Made free throws from Elena Alderman closed out the 2nd quarter, sending the Terriers into halftime with a 30-17 lead.
• The Fighting Tigers looked to cut into their deficit with quick buckets in the opening minutes of the 3rd quarter.
• However, a layup by Kesse-Beda, combined with strong defensive play on the opposite end of the floor, allowed the Terriers to maintain their momentum midway through the quarter.
• The Fighting Tigers put together a small scoring run late in the 3rd, but clutch free throws from McLellan in the final seconds of the quarter helped the Terriers carry a 36-29 lead into the final ten minutes of regulation.
