2026 Women's Lacrosse Season Preview

2/11/2026 1:38:00 PM

Waterville, ME – The 2026 Women's Lacrosse season has arrived, and student-athletes recently began practices to prepare for the upcoming spring season. Head Women's Lacrosse Coach Jenn Morris will enter her second stint as Head Coach after previously serving in the role from 2022 through 2023.

Coach Morris and her coaching staff have worked hard to bring in six new student-athletes. Coach Morris had this to say about her incoming class. "Our first years have a deep love for the game and bring a wide range of talent to our program. Their enthusiasm, work ethic, and passion for lacrosse have been great for our team culture. There are several deep resumes and a lot of talent. They bring experience, skill, and a competitive mindset that immediately raises the level of our team. Their presence makes us more competitive overall, and we expect them to elevate our level of play and contribute right away while continuing to grow within our system." Those new student-athletes are as follows:

  • #6 – Gigi Bhagat – Pueblo, Colorado – Pueblo West High School
  • #9 – Isabella Harrington – Bennington, Vermont – Mt. Anthony Union High School
  • #11 – Sarah Mack – Lewiston, Maine – Lewiston High School
  • #15 – Amber Boardman – Lawrence, Massachusetts – Austin Preparatory School
  • #16 – Katarina Olvera – Santa Barbra, California – Santa Barbra Senior High School
  • #21 – Karissa Cotoia – Scituate, Rhode Island – Scituate High School

Coach Morris will look to several talented returning student-athletes, including several NAC postseason award selections to build up the program. Coach Morris also wanted to emphasize that everyone on the team will play a crucial role toward their overall success. A few notable returners are listed below.

  • #25 – Bristol Sine – NAC Co-Defensive Player of the Year in 2025, NAC All-Conference First Team in 2025.
  • #18 – Jorgie Arduini – NAC All-Conference Second Team in 2025.
  • #3 – Isabella Pelletier – Scored a team-high 30 goals last season.
  • #7 – Sadie Dorr – Versatile and quick player that plays a huge role in both defense and attack.

Looking ahead at a few goals for this coming season, Coach Morris pointed out that growth will be at the forefront of everything they do. "Our main goals center around possession and growth—both individually and collectively. We want our players to value every possession, make smart decisions, and play with confidence. Just as important, we're focused on growth within themselves as student-athletes and as a lacrosse team as a whole. That includes improving lacrosse IQ, building trust with teammates, and continuing to develop a strong team identity throughout the season. We're excited about the growth of this young team and the progress we've already seen during the offseason. The group has shown a strong willingness to learn, compete, and support one another. There's a lot of potential within this roster, and we're looking forward to seeing how that development translates onto the field as the season unfolds."

With the North Atlantic Conference schedule system, each school in conference will play each other twice, once home and once away. Coach Morris wanted to emphasize the importance of conference play: "Conference matchups are always the most competitive and exciting games on our schedule. Those games bring a higher level of intensity and challenge, and they really test our preparation, focus, and execution. They serve as a great measuring stick for where we are as a team and show us how much we've grown as the season progresses. Our players enjoy the energy and competitiveness of those matchups, and they push us to be better in all areas of the game." Women's Lacrosse play all of their games on campus at Smith Field.
