Kesse-Beda Leads Women's Basketball to Statement Road Win Over VTSU Lyndon

Lyndonville, VT - Women's Basketball traveled to take on Vermont State University-Lyndon in a North Atlantic Conference match on Tuesday, February 10th, securing a statement win over the Hornets by a final score of 73-59. Terriers forward Pryelle Kesse-Beda led the offensive charge for the Terriers with an outstanding performance, finishing the contest 28 points in the win.

How it Happened:
  • The Hornets opened the 1st quarter with an small scoring run, but an Emily Hagerty three-pointer and a Kesse-Beda layup got the Terriers on the board shortly after.
  • Buckets from Kesse-Beda and Brooklyn Calder kept the Terriers offense going midway through the 1st, but the Hornets continued to find responses to knot the game up at 11-11.
  • Back-to-back buckets from Kaya Loring closed out the 1st quarter to give the Terriers a 15-13 lead after ten minutes of play.
  • Quick points from K. Loring and Mykey Avni extended the Terriers lead to six points in the opening minutes of the 2nd.
  • Kesse-Beda and Kay McLellan fueled the Terriers offense midway through the 2nd with made buckets, but a small scoring run by the Hornets would tie the game at 25-25 late in the quarter.
