Kesse-Beda and Alderman Lead Women's Basketball to 75-39 NAC Win Over Lesley University

Cambridge, MA - Pryelle Kesse-Beda (20 pts) and Elena Alderman (14 pts) led the Terriers to a dominant 75-39 North Atlantic Conference road win over Lesley University on Wednesday, January 7th, combining for 34 points, 13 rebounds, and 10 assists in the contest. The win over the Lynx marks the Terriers second consecutive win of the new year, improving their overall record to 8-4, and 4-2 in North Atlantic Conference play on the season.


How it Happened:
  • Alderman and Kesse-Beda would get the Terriers offense rolling early, combining for 7 quick points in the opening minutes of the 1st to give the Terriers a 7-0 lead.
  • The Terriers would extend their lead to double digits  midway through the 1st quarter with strong buckets in the paint from Roxy Dagostino and Kesse-Beda.
  • The Terriers would close out the final minutes of the 1st quarter with strong efforts on both sides of the ball, claiming an 18-3 lead after 10 minutes of play,
  • Alderman and Kesse-Beda would continue to find holes in the Lynx defense in the opening minutes of the 2nd quarter, combining for eight quick points to make it a 26-5 game.
  • Roxy Dagostino and Kaya Loring would close out the 2nd quarter with a combined five points after another strong defensive quarter, sending the Terriers into the half with a 31-10 lead.
  • The Lynx would cut into the Terriers lead to open the 3rd quarter, but three consecutive buckets in the paint from Kesse-Beda minutes later would put the momentum back in the hands of the Terriers.
  • The Terriers would continue to extend their lead midway through the 3rd quarter with points from Maria Tomova and K. Loring. 
  • The Terriers closed the final minutes of the third quarter with five combined points from Brooklyn Calder and K. Loring to take a commanding 50–22 lead heading into the fourth quarter.
  • Dagostino and Alderman would take over the Terriers offense early in the fourth quarter, combining for 10 quick points to make 62-31 with six minutes to play.
  • But the Terriers would ultimately control the remaining minutes of the contest to earn a statement 75-39 North Atlantic Conference road win over Lesley.

  • The Terriers will look to extend their two-game win streak on Saturday, January 10th, traveling to Delhi, New York to take on the SUNY Delhi Broncos in a North Atlantic Conference match-up. Tip-off is scheduled for 3:00 PM.
