Fort Kent, ME – Women's Volleyball earned their first win of 2025 when they traveled to the University of Maine at Fort Kent on Saturday, September 6th, 2025. The team earned a hard-fought five-set win against the Bengals.

How It Happened: 

• The Terriers started the first set well, jumping out to a 6-0 lead after two service aces from Ana Romero.
• The Terriers continued to roll, eventually growing their lead to 16-6 after a kill from Karissa Cotoia.
• Despite a late push from the Bengals the Terriers earned a 25-16 set win.
• The Terriers continued their momentum into the second set, jumping out to a 12-2 lead after several attacking errors from the Bengals.
• A service error and an attack error from the Bengals ended the second set, giving the Terriers a 2-0 lead.
• UMaine–Fort Kent answered in the third with a 25-21 win to stay alive.
• The Bengals kept pushing in the fourth, holding off Thomas for a 25-19 victory to even the match at 2-2.
• The Terriers battled in the fifth set, but the Bengals were able to bring themselves back to a 14-14 scoreline.
• With the match on the line the Terriers delivered, winning the fifth set to win the match 3-2.
