Men’s Soccer Earns Important NAC Win Against Farmington

Farmington, ME – Men's Soccer traveled to take on the University of Maine Farmington Beavers in an important North Atlantic Conference matchup. The Terriers emerged with a crucial 1-0 win on Wednesday, September 24th, 2025.
 
How it Happened:
  • The Beavers came out of the gate well on their home field, taking two shots and forcing a save out of Jamie Fischer.
  • Despite the good start from the Beavers, the Terriers settled into the game nicely, earning three shots in the next 10 minutes.
  • In the 26th minute Shafi Ibrahim received a pass and used his speed and composure to score, giving the Terriers an important 1-0 lead.
  • The Terriers continued to pile on the pressure, with shots from Jeremiah Gomez, Ibrahim, and Harry Clough narrowly missing the target.
  • Neither team could capitalize in the remaining minutes of the first half, and the Terriers took their 1-0 lead into the second.
  • The Beavers came out of the gate well once again, taking three shots toward the Terrier goal in the first five minutes.
  • Momentum swung yet again a few minutes later, with attempts on goal from David Ivarsson, Ordi Bimvy, and Ibrahim either being just wide or finding the post.
  • The next best chance for either team came in the 77th minute, when a header from Ibrahim went just wide of the post.
  • Fischer was forced to make the final save of the game in the 83rd minute, ensuring a 1-0 shutout win for the Terriers.

  • Men's Soccer will be back in action on Saturday, September 27th, 2025, when they take on the Maine Maritime Academy Mariners as a part of this year's Homecoming and Family Weekend.
