Waterville, ME – David Ivarsson scored two goals to help lead the Terriers to a 3-0 win over the University of Southern Maine Huskies at home on Saturday, September 20^th, 2025.
 
How it Happened:

• The game began with the Huskies earning a few attacking opportunities, but both shots on goal were saved by Jamie Fischer.
• In the 22^nd minute a bad tackle in the box led to the Terriers being awarded a penalty kick, and David Ivarsson scored to make it 1-0.
• Both teams battled for possession for the remainder of the half, with the game soon becoming chippy and yellow cards being given to both teams.
• The Huskies ended the first half with two corner kicks but couldn't capitalize.
• Two shots from the Huskies in the opening minutes of the second half were off target, while another needed a save from Fischer to keep it 1-0.
• In the 61^st minute Harry Clough sent a through ball to Ivarsson, who buried the ball in the left corner to make it 2-0.
• The Huskies then turned up the intensity but ultimately missed the target on several key chances.
• In the 83^rd minute a through ball from Cole Washburn found T'syi Showers, who crossed the ball perfectly to the back post – finding a waiting Adio DeShield-Tankard to make it 3-0.
• The Huskies last chance came in the 84^th minute, as another shot went high, giving the Terriers a 3-0 win.
