Morrisville, NY – Women's Volleyball traveled to take part in the 2025 SUNY Morrisville Tournament, where they faced off against Alfred State College and SUNY Morrisville. The results were 0-3 and 1-3 on Friday, August 29^th, 2025.
 
How it Happened:
 
Match One – 0-3 VS Alfred State College

• The Pioneers started off strong, jumping out to a 12-6 lead in the first set.
• The Terriers had a good stretch, scoring three in a row after two errors and a kill from Karissa Cotoia.
• Despite the good stretch the Pioneers would take set one 25-15.
• The Terriers started set two much better, taking a 6-4 lead after a service ace from Marissa Cates and kill from Camille Gibson.
• However, the Pioneers went on a 7-2 run and won set two 25-18.
• The Pioneers started the third set on a tear, taking a 11-1 lead, which eventually grew to a 16-2 lead.
• The Terriers would eventually fall 8-25 in the third set, and by a 0-3 match score.

• Lindsay Pool – 4 Kills, 6 Points

 
Match Two – 1-3 VS SUNY Morrisville

• The Terriers looked to bounce back against the Mustangs later that night.
• Both teams looked evenly matched to start, with the Terriers making this 12-13 after five straight points thanks to two service aces from Zainab Albraihi.
• Despite the strong performance in set one, the Mustangs scored the final five points to win 25-20.
• The Terriers bounced back in set two, keeping a steady lead throughout thanks to a strong overall team performance.
• Lindsay Pool scored the final point of the set from a kill, taking it 25-20.
• Despite the strong set by the Terriers the Mustangs bounced right back, taking a 12-1 lead in the next set which eventually led to a 25-13 set score.
• In the fourth set the Terriers had an early lead thanks to several kills from Pool and Addison Lebel.
• The Terriers continued to perform consistently, eventually earning a 23-21 lead thanks to two straight service aces from Brooklyn Barbeau.
• Despite the Terriers best efforts, the Mustangs scored the final points of the set, earning them a 26-24 set win and a 3-1 match win.

What's Next:

• Women's Volleyball will be back in action for the final two matches of the SUNY Morrisville Tournament on Saturday, August 30^th, 2025. They take on Western New England University at 10:00 AM and SUNY Poly at 12:00 PM.
