Bangor, ME – Softball fell short in what was a scrappy doubleheader against the Husson University Eagles on Friday, April 18^th, 2025. The final scores were 0-4 and 1-3.

How it Happened:
 
Game One

• The Eagles got on the board in the first inning, scoring off of a single to make it 0-1.
• Both teams struggled for offense in the next few innings until the Eagles scored three runs in the fourth inning to make it 0-4.
• The Terriers best chance to score came in the bottom of the seventh inning, where Kayla Duhaime and Teresa McLinden both were able to make it on base.
• Unfortunately, the Terriers were unable to take advantage, and eventually fell 0-4.
• Despite the loss, the Terriers played well defensively, only allowing runs in two innings, and only made one error.

• Mackenzie Toner – 2 Hits
• Megan Oberholzer – 6 Innings Pitched, 1 Strikeout

 
Game Two

• Game two began with a pitcher dual, as Addy Boyce made quick work of the Eagles hitters through the first four innings.
• In the bottom of the fourth inning the Eagles got on the scoreboard first, scoring three runs after a few defensive errors.
• In the sixth inning Oberholzer hit a double to left center field that scored Maddy Morris to make it 1-3.
• Layla Pickering and Duhaime both earned hits in the seventh inning, but the Terriers were unable to drive them home and fell with a final score of 1-3.

What's Next:

• Softball will be back in action when they take on Lesley University at home on Saturday, April 26^th, 2025. First pitches are set for 1:00 PM and 3:00 PM.
