Box Score

Henniker, NH – Despite a strong fourth-quarter scoring run from Men's Lacrosse against New England College, the Terriers would fall to the Pilgrims by a score of 13-16 on Tuesday, April 15th. Owen Lyons would finish the contest with an impressive 5 goals and 1 assist despite the Terriers' loss.

How it Happened:

  • The Pilgrims would strike first in the opening minutes of the first quarter, scoring three goals to put the Terriers behind early.

  • The Pilgrims would score two additional goals late in the first quarter, but Timothy Worster (Owen Lyons assist) would close the quarter with a goal to make it a 3-5 game heading into the second quarter.

  • New England College would open the second quarter with an early goal, but the Terriers would cut into the Pilgrims' lead shortly after with an unassisted goal from O. Lyons.

  • The Terriers would capitalize on two man-up opportunities midway through the second quarter, with W. Lyons (Worster assist) and Dustyn Hinkley scoring within a minute of each other.

  • But the Terriers would find themselves down 6-10 heading into the half after a late scoring run from the Pilgrims.

  • Worster would get the Terriers offense going to start the third, finding the back of the net (W. Lyons assist) in the opening minutes of the quarter.

  • The Terriers would close the third quarter with goals from Jack Morrill (Man-Up) and O. Lyons (Morrill assist) but would trail six goals heading into the fourth quarter.

  • Morrill (W. Lyons assist) would give the Terriers some momentum in the fourth, capitalizing on the Terriers fourth man-up opportunity of the game early in the quarter.

  • O. Lyons would flip the momentum of the game midway through the quarter, scoring three consecutive unanswered goals (1x Charlie Foster-Major assist) to cut the Terriers deficit to just two goals with less than five minutes to play.

  • Despite the Terriers strong comeback effort in the fourth, the Pilgrims would ultimately score a late goal in the quarter and would hold on to hand the Terriers a tough 13-16 loss on the road.
