SCAD Bees Pull Away in Third From Men's Lacrosse in Final Game of Spring Trip

Savannah, Georgia – Men's Lacrosse would face the Savannah College of Art and Design Bees in game two of their spring trip but would be defeated by a final score of 8-18 on Friday, March 14th.

Savannah College of Art & Design: Overall (4-6) 
 

How it Happened: 

  • The Terriers and the Bees would go back and forth with offensive opportunities early in the first quarter. 

  • But the Bees would strike first, scoring three goals late in the quarter to put the Terriers down 0-3 after fifteen minutes of play.

  • Owen Lyons would give the Terriers some momentum midway through the second quarter with an unassisted goal to cut the Bees lead to just two goals. 

  • But the Bees would answer back late in the second to put the Terriers down 1-4 heading into the half. 

  • The Bees would open the third quarter with two quick goals, but an unassisted goal shortly after from Kyle Van Doren-Crooker would give the Terriers some life in the quarter. 

  • The Terriers would attempt to cut into the Bees lead midway through the third with a goal from Timothy Worster assisted by O. Lyons and an unassisted goal from Hunter Simpson

  • But the Bee's offense would push the pace, scoring seven more goals in the quarter to put the Terriers down 4-13 heading into the fourth quarter. 

  • The Terriers would score two early goals in the fourth, with Van Doren-Crooker finding the back of the net for his second goal of the game off a Worster assist, and Worster also scoring his second goal of the game assisted by O. Lyons. 

  • Wyatt Lyons would score a late man-down goal assisted by Connor Hamilton, but the Bees would ultimately take control of the fourth quarter and would hand the Terriers an 8-18 loss in their final spring trip match-up.

What's Next: 

  • The Terriers will return to action on Monday, March 24th, traveling to Paxton, Massachusetts to take on the Anna Maria College Amcats in a non-conference match-up. Game time is scheduled for 6 PM.
