How it Happened:
- The Cougars got on the scoreboard first in the second inning, scoring off of an error to take a 1-0 lead.
- Another error in the fourth allowed the Cougars to score twice to make it 0-3.
- The Terriers looked primed to respond in the bottom of the inning, with hits coming from Tony Meza and Samuel Keblinsky making way for a bases loaded situation.
- Despite the bases loaded, the Terriers couldn't take advantage and the Cougars scored another run in the fifth to make it 0-4.
- Neither team scored in the sixth inning thanks to some good defensive plays from the Terriers.
- In the 7th inning Meza sent a single to center field that scored Hayden Dippner and Elijah Morton to make it 2-4.
- A single from Morton in the 8th saw the Cougar lead cut to just one run, making it 3-4.
- After a big triple from Keblinsky with two outs in the bottom of the ninth, the Terriers were unable to capitalize, and the game ended in a 3-4 loss.
