Women's Basketball Overwhelmed by Eagles in Road Conference Matchup

Bangor, Maine - Terrier's Women's Basketball would travel to Bangor, Maine to take on the Husson University Eagles in a North Atlantic Conference match but would be defeated by a final score of 45-69 on Wednesday, February 5th.

How it Happened:
  • Mariah Roberts and Holly Loring would get the Terrier's offense in the game's opening minutes, but a strong start from the Eagles would give them the early lead.
  • But Hana Isahac would give the Terriers some momentum midway through the first, hitting shots in the paint on back-to-back possessions to tie the game up at 10-10.
  • Pryelle Kesse-Beda would score the Terrier's final four points of the quarter, but a late run from the Eagles would put the Terriers down 14-18 heading into the second quarter.
  • Yaribel Pena and Kubwalo would chip into the Eagles lead early in the second quarter, but the Eagles would continue to extend their lead by finding responses to the Terrier's attack.
  • Kubwalo, Roberts, and Annabelle Morris each score late in the second, but the Terriers would find themselves down 24-38 after a strong offensive quarter from the Eagles.
  • The Eagles would continue to stay hot, opening the third quarter with a 7-0 scoring run.
  • The Terriers would outscore the Eagles 10-6 in the final six minutes of the third quarter, but the Terriers would head into the fourth quarter down 34-55.
  • Pryelle Kesse-Beda and Bri Benecke combined for all of the Terrier's eleven points in the fourth quarter, but the Eagles would ultimately take control of the quarter and would hand the Terriers a 45-69 conference road loss.
What's Next:
The Terriers will be back in action on Saturday, February 8th, taking on the University of Farmington Beavers in a road conference match-up. Tip-off is scheduled for 1 PM.
