University of Maine Fort Kent: Overall (9-9)

How it Happened:

  • Despite the hot start, the Bengals soon took momentum, and led 11-6 halfway through the first quarter.

  • The Bengals opened up the second quarter with several three-point shots, and eventually they led 27-16 halfway through the second quarter.
  • Later in the quarter Pryelle Kesse-Beda score four straight points to help cut the Bengal lead to just four with a minute left in the second.
  • Kesse-Beda finished off the quarter with a layup, but the Terriers found themselves down 27-32 heading into halftime.
  • Early on in the third quarter Sarah Davis and Annabelle Morris connected on three-point shots to continue to battle back.
  • Another layup from Kesse-Beda cut the Bengal lead to just two points, putting the Terriers within striking distance with four minutes left in the third quarter.
  • A 6-0 run from the Bengals late in the third threatened the Terriers Changes, but Kay McLellan scored five straight points to end the quarter to make it 42-45.
  • A three-point shot from McLellan early in the fourth tied things at 47 a piece, but the Bengals went on a run shortly after to put them up 56-49.
  • Kuwalo, Holly Loring, and McLellan all scored in the final few minutes to put the Terriers within two points with under a minute to go.
