Hallowell, ME - Men's Ice Hockey fell to Central Maine Community College Mustangs at home on Friday, December 5th, 2025. The final score was 2-5.

How it Happened:

• The Mustangs started off the first period well, generating several quality chances in the opening minutes.
• Four minutes in the Mustangs found the breakthrough, scoring to make it 0-1.
• The Mustangs then used that momentum to score two more, entering the second period up 3-0 over the Terriers.
• However, the Terriers battled hard to begin the second, forcing several saves from the Mustang goaltender.
• Just three minutes into the second Hunter Coughlin found Nick Fischetto, who scored to make it 1-3.
• Two minutes later the Terriers struck again, this time Caleb Micklon finding Quinn Hawley, making it 2-3.
• The Terriers continued to bring effort all throughout the period, heading into the third only down by one.
• Despite the strong second period, the Mustangs fired back with a goal less than a minute into the third to make it 2-4.
• Terrier goaltender Matt D'Ortona was called into action several times in the third, making 20 total saves in the period.
• With less than a second to go the Mustangs scored again on an empty net to hand the Terriers a 2-5 loss despite the strong showing.
