Men's Ice Hockey Outmatched by Dartmouth Club at Home

Hallowell, ME - Men's Ice Hockey had a strong offensive display, but were outmatched by Dartmouth College on Saturday, November 8th, 2025 by a score of 2-4.

How it Happened:
  • The Terriers started off rolling in the first period, outshooting Dartmouth 22-4.
  • After several scoring opportunities the Terriers finally broke through with seven minutes remaining in the first.
  • Nick Fischetto found Hunter Coughlin, who passed it to Brandon Beace, scoring the game's first goal.
  • Five minutes later both Nick and Joe Fischetto assisted on a goal from Kegan Rodrigue, making it 2-0.
  • The Terriers looked primed to continue their momentum headed into the second period.
  • Midway through the second that momentum shifted, with Dartmouth forcing several good saves from Terrier goaltender Toby Hopson.
  • With 1:21 left in the second Dartmouth found a breakthrough, scoring to make it 1-2.
  • Just 40 seconds later Dartmouth scored again, tying things headed into the third period.
  • The Terriers had a few more chances on goal early on in the third, but the Dartmouth goaltender continued to come up with huge saves to keep them in the game.
  • With eight minutes to go Dartmouth scored again, giving them a 3-2 lead.
  • Despite the best efforts of the Terriers several penalties hurt their potential offensive output in the third.
  • With not much time left the Dartmouth goaltender continued to make several great saves, denying any Terrier chance.
  • After the Terriers pulled Hopson to add an extra man Dartmouth scored on the empty net with 6.6 seconds left, handing the Terriers a 2-4 loss.
  • Despite the loss the Terriers outshot Dartmouth 54-23
