Mohamud Leads Terriers to 77-58 Win Over Framingham St.in Game Two of Charlie Ryan Classic

Waterville, ME - Men's Basketball hosted Framingham State University in their second match up of the Charlie Ryan Classic on Sunday, November 16th, earning a 77–58 victory. The win marks the Terriers first win over Framingham State in program history.

How it Happened:
  • The Terriers would jump out to an early lead with a 9-1 run thanks to TJ Blackmon, Payton Mitchell, and Yasmo Mohamud.
  • Framingham State would respond with a small run of their own, but a three-pointer from Jayden Desimone and layup from Isiah Godley shortly after would keep the lead in the Terriers hands.
  • Mohamud and Desimone would continue to find holes in the Rams defense midway through the half, extending the Terriers lead to 11 points.
  • The Rams would make it a single digit game late in the 1st half, but an 8-3 to close the half from Isiah Corson and Mohamud would send the Terriers into the half with a 36-24 lead.
  • Both teams would trade points to open the 2nd half, but a strong finish in the paint from Blackmon and three-pointer from Corson would put the Terriers ahead 47-36 with just over ten minutes remaining.
  • Desimone, Blackmon, and Corson would take over the Terriers offense minutes later, completing a 13-3 run to make it a 60-43 game with 8 minutes to play.
  • The Rams would cut their deficit to 13 points in the final minutes of the game, but the Terriers would put the game out of reach shortly after with an 11-5 run to give the Terriers a 77-58 win over Framingham State.
