Waterville, ME - Field Hockey was unable to overcome the Husson University Eagles in a home conference matchup on Saturday, October 4th, 2025. The final score was 0-3.

How it Happened:

• The Terriers had a positive start, with a shot on goal from Samantha Thebarge forcing a save from the Eagle goalkeeper.
• The follow up from Leah Knight went just wide, keeping things at 0-0.
• Just three minutes later the Eagles struck, taking a 1-0 lead.
• Late in the first quarter a shot from Paige Gilbert was blocked, and a shot from Kara Richards with seconds left went just high.
• Both teams continued to duel in the second quarter, but it was Knight who was denied again - this time from a defensive save mid way through the second.
• The last chance of the half fell to Caroline Hendrickson, but her shot was saved by the Eagles goalie to keep it 0-1 headed into halftime.
• Beginning the third quarter the Terriers had several more attempts on goal, but all were blocked after some good defense from the Eagles.
• With just seconds remaining in the third the Eagles doubled their lead after another goal, putting the Terriers in a difficult spot in the fourth quarter.
• Two minutes into the fourth quarter the Eagles scored their third goal of the game, giving the Terriers just 13 minutes remaining to try and salvage the game.
• Despite their best efforts the Eagles remained strong defensively, and the game ended in a 0-3 loss.
