Field Hockey Bounces Back With 3-1 Win Over Plymouth State

Plymouth, NH - Field Hockey bounced back with a dominant 3-1 over the Plymouth State University Panthers on Tuesday, October 7th, 2025.

How it Happened:
  • The Terriers started the game well, with shots from Leah Knight and Paige Gilbert both nearly missing the Panther goal.
  • Eight minutes in Samantha Thebarge's shot needed to be saved by the Panther goalkeeper, with the rebound shot from Knight being blocked.
  • Terrier goalkeeper Eliya Drummond was called into action a few minutes later, making two good saves in the span on two minutes.
  • The Terriers entered the second quarter still hungry for a goal with the score still 0-0.
  • Three minutes into the second quarter Celia Stinson nearly scored the team's opener, but her shot was denied by the post to keep things level.
  • Just one minute and seven seconds later Tatiana Roque scored a solo goal to give the Terriers a 1-0 lead.
  • The Terriers used the momentum to continue to pummel the Panther goal, but all efforts were either wide or blocked to keep the lead at just one.
  • A defensive save from the Panthers with five minutes to go until halftime was the last golden opportunity of the quarter.
  • After three saves in 10 seconds from Drummond to open up the third quarter, Thebarge scored an unassisted goal on the other end to double the Terrier lead.
  • Four minutes later the Panthers scored a goal of their own, making it 2-1.
  • The Panthers earned two more penalty corners in the remaining five minutes, but the Terrier defense held strong to keep the lead heading into the fourth quarter.
  • The momentum swung yet again at the start of the fourth, with the Terriers generating several shots on goal that eventually led to another Thebarge goal to make it 3-1.
  • With four minutes remaining in the game McKenzie Clay came up with a big defensive save to keep the Panthers out one final time, sealing the 3-1 win for the Terriers.
