Men’s Ice Hockey Triumphs Over UNE 6-4

Hallowell, ME – Men's Ice Hockey triumphed over the University of New England at the Thomas College Ice Vault in their first game back from the semester break by a score of 6-4.
 
 
Thomas College: Overall (7-9), NAC (4-4)

 
How it Happened:
  • The Terriers wasted no time getting on the board, with Quinn Hawley scoring four minutes in. He was assisted by Jack Perron and Caleb Micklon
  • Danny Fuller and DJ Cagnina both got on the board later in the period to take a commanding 3-0 lead into the second.
  • The Nor'easters would respond with a goal of their own four minutes into the second period, but the Terriers would remain in control.
  • With 12.7 seconds remaining in the second Nicholas Fischetto found the back of the net thanks to assists from Joe Fischetto and Cagnina.
  • Perron scored early in the third to make it 5-1, but the Nor'easters wouldn't go away quietly, scoring a minute later to make it 5-2.
  • Hawley would score again with 10 minutes remaining in the third to make it 6-2.
  • The Nor'easters scored twice in the final nine minutes, but it wasn't enough as the Terriers walked away with a 6-4 win.

  • Men's Ice Hockey will be back in action on Saturday, January 25th, 2025, when they take on Dartmouth College at the Thomas College Ice Vault. Puck drop is set for 7:30 PM.
