Hallowell, ME - Caleb Micklon scored two goals, including one with 14 seconds remaining in overtime, to lead the Terriers past Dartmouth College in the 2026 home opener on Saturday, October 17th, 2026.

How it Happened:

• The Terriers dominated the opening period, outshooting Dartmouth 16-5.
• Despite the strong play, Dartmouth struck first, scoring at 2:23 in the first period.
• The Terriers responded well, eventually tying the game with just under two minutes remaining in the first period.
• Jack Perron sent a pass that found Micklon, who scored to tie things at 1-1 heading into the second period.
• At 13:40 in the second period the Terriers struck again, this time with Joe Fischetto finding the back of the net thanks to assists from Tyler Gay and Hunter Coughlin.
• Matt D'Ortona was called into action several times in the second period, making 11 total saves in the 20 minutes.
• The Terriers entered the third period with a 2-1 lead, but Dartmouth struck again at 17:48 to tie things at 2-2.
• D'Ortona was excellent in the third period after the goal, making 14 total saves in the period.
• Neither team was able to find the breakthrough in regulation, meaning things headed to overtime.
• After several chances both ways, Caleb Micklon was able to find the back of the net unassisted with just 14 seconds left in overtime, sending the home crowd into a frenzy and securing the 3-2 win.
