Biddeford, ME – Men's Soccer battled the University of New England Nor'easters to a 1-1 draw thanks to a goal from Joshua Joseph on Sunday, September 1^st, 2024.

Thomas College: Overall (0-1-1)
University of New England: Overall (1-0-1)

How it Happened:  

• The Nor'easters started the game quickly, generating two off-target shots in the first seven minutes. 
• In the 18^th minute Andrew Hodgins gathered the ball off of a Terriers corner kick, but his shot sailed high of the Nor'easter goal.
• Shots from Cody Robinson and Craig Coventry forced two good saves out of the Nor'easters goalkeeper in the 29^thand 31^st minutes, keeping the game 0-0.
• In the 41^st minute Jamie Fonseca found William Glenney, who then played the ball to Joshua Joseph, who scored to take a 1-0 lead.
• The Terriers went into halftime on a positive note, generating some good opportunities toward the end of the first half.
• Three minutes after halftime the Nor'easters were awarded a penalty kick, and it was converted to tie things up at 1-1.
• In the 57^th minute Jacob Nisby's shot looked like it was heading to the bottom right corner, but it was saved once again by the Nor'easter goalkeeper.
• In the 70^th minute the Terriers had a few more opportunities.
• Joseph's shot sailed wide, and Kevroy Spence's shot was saved to keep things at 1-1.
• The Terrier's last quality scoring chance came in the 85^th minute when Hodgins' shot was saved again by the Nor'easters goalkeeper.
• In the 89^th minute the Nor'easters had a scoring chance, but Terrier goalkeeper Jamie Fischer came up with the save to ultimately secure the 1-1 draw.
