Waterville, ME – Thomas College is proud to announce the hiring of Chris O'Toole for the position of Director of Sports Medicine. O'Toole comes to Thomas from Kents Hill School, where he served as the Head Athletic Trainer and Assistant Athletic Director this past year. From 2009-2023 O'Toole served as an Assistant Athletic Trainer at Colby College.
 
Vice President of Intercollegiate Athletics Christopher stated, "I am excited to welcome Chris to our team, as he will bring a wealth of passion and experience.  He has great leadership and communication skills which will help connect him with student-athletes and grow our sports medicine team. Chris will be a valuable member of our growing athletics program at Thomas College."
 
When asked about what he is looking forward to and what excites him most about his new position O'Toole stated, "I am excited to be part of a sports medicine team that will deliver exemplary treatment and care day-in and day-out… I enjoy working collaboratively with student-athletes to help return them to full activity as safely and quickly as possible."
 
O'Toole has always been involved in athletics in various ways. He participated in sports and club sports all the way up through college, and more recently has been spending as much time as he can on his mountain bike, riding local cross-country trails at mountains in Maine, New Hampshire, and Massachusetts.
 
O'Toole's official start date at Thomas College was August 1^st.
