Maura Moulton named Assistant Athletic Trainer

Waterville, ME – Thomas College is proud to announce the hiring of Maura Moulton for the position of Assistant Athletic Trainer. Moulton comes to Thomas from MaineGeneral, where she worked as an Athletic Trainer at Buckfield Junior/Senior High School for the past five years.
 
Vice President of Intercollegiate Athletics Christopher Parsons stated, "I am excited to welcome Maura Moulton to our sports medicine team as an Assistant Athletic Trainer. She will be a valuable addition to our growing athletics department here at Thomas. Her experience at a variety of levels will be extremely valuable to the health and wellness of our student-athletes. Maura's presence and expertise will benefit our student-athletes' experience both on and off the field."
 
Moulton earned her bachelor's degree in Athletic Training from the University of New England, and received her master's degree in Applied Exercise Science from Concordia University.
 
When asked about what she is looking forward to and what excites her most about his new position Moulton stated, "I am excited to be a part of a team of athletic trainers that are able to collaborate for the health and safety of the student-athletes." Moulton's style of treatment is relationship heavy. She builds a "strong, professional rapport with student athletes which in turn translates into a more efficient return to activity."
 
Moulton has always been involved in athletics, participating in high school soccer and tennis. Moulton was named to the Maine All-Conference and All-State teams in her senior year of high school.
 
Moulton's official start date at Thomas College was August 12th.
