Terriers Men’s Lacrosse Shut Down by SUNY Delhi in 16-8 Loss

Waterville, Maine - Thomas Men's Lacrosse was defeated by the SUNY Delhi Broncos in their second North Atlantic Conference matchup of the season by a score of 16-8 on Sunday, April 7th. 

Records: 

Thomas: Overall (0-5), Conference (0-2) 

SUNY Delhi: Overall (9-3), Conference (2-2) 

How it Happened: 

  • Timothy Worster would get the Terriers on the board first with an unassisted goal midway through the first quarter 

  • The Broncos would answer with four unanswered goals to give Delhi a 4-1 after one quarter of play 

  • Worster would open the second quarter with an early goal to cut the Terriers deficit to 2 goals 

  • Delhi would continue to keep the offensive pressure on the Terriers, answering Worster's goal with a goal of their own just a minute later  

  • Charlie Foster-Major would find the back of the net off a Brodi Freeman assist midway through the second quarter to make it a 5-3 game 

  • Just under a minute later, the Terriers would get another quick goal from Connor Hamilton to cut the Broncos lead to one goal 

  • Delhi would score two more goals in the second quarter, but Worster would give the Terriers some momentum going into the second half with a late goal to make it a 7-5 game after 2 quarters of play 

  • The Broncos would overwhelm the Terriers defense in the third quarter, scoring four unanswered goals 

  • Foster-Major would his second goal of the day late in the third quarter, but the Broncos would take a 13-6 lead after the third quarter 

  • Dustyn Hinkley and Worster would both score unassisted goals in the fourth quarter, but the Broncos would take the victory defeating the Terriers by a score of 16-8
