Terriers Men’s Lacrosse Unable to Keep Pace in First NAC Matchup Against SUNY Canton

Waterville, Maine – Thomas Men's Lacrosse were defeated in their first conference match of the season, falling to the SUNY Canton Roos by a score of 17-10 on Saturday, April 6th. 

Records: 
Thomas College: Overall (0-4), Conference (0-1) 

SUNY Canton: Overall (3-4), Conference (2-0) 

How it Happened:  

  • Timothy Worster would get the Terriers on the board with an unassisted goal just four minutes into the game, to give the Terriers the lead 

  • The Roos would respond with three unanswered goals with just under six minutes remaining in the first quarter 

  • Late in the first quarter Jack Morrill would score an unassisted goal to put the Terriers down 3-2 

  • Kyle Van Doren-Crooker would find the back of the net off an assist from Connor Hamilton to tie the game at 3-3 at the end of the first quarter 

  • The Roos would score early in the second, but Hunter Crocker would set up Morrill for a Terriers goal to tie the game at 4-4 late in the second quarter 

  • Worster would score another unassisted goal with just under a minute remaining in the quarter, to give the Terriers a 5-4 lead at the half   

  • SUNY Canton would open the second half with 3 unanswered goals to giving the Roos a 7-5 lead early in the third quarter

  • Van Doren-Crooker and Worster would continue to fuel the Terriers offense, but the Roos would take a 9-7 lead at the end of the third quarter 

  • The Roo's would up the pressure in the fourth quarter, scoring five unanswered goals  

  • Charlie Foster-Majors would score in the fourth with Worster scoring two more, but the Roos would take the victory, handing the Terriers a 17-10 loss

What's Next: The Terriers will host the SUNY Delhi Broncos in their second North Atlantic Conference matchup of the season on Sunday, April 7th at noon.
