Thomas Men’s Lacrosse Take First Victory in Dominant Fashion Against MCLA

North Adams, Massachusetts – Thomas Men's Lacrosse took their first victory of the season, defeating the Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts Trailblazers in a North Atlantic Conference match up, by a score of 15–4 on Saturday, April 13th. 

Records: 

Thomas: Overall (1-6), Conference (1-3) 

MCLA: Overall (1-9), Conference (1-4) 

How it Happened: 

  • The Trailblazers would take an early lead to start the game, but Jack Morrill would respond with an unassisted goal to tie the game at 1-1 

  • MCLA would score again midway through the first, but Charlie Foster-Major would score two unassisted goals to put the Terriers up 3-2 after the one quarter of play

  • Connor Hamilton would score the lone goal for both teams in the second quarter, giving the Terriers a 4-2 lead at the half 

  • The Terriers would continue to keep the pressure on the Trailblazers to open the second half, with Hamilton scoring an early third quarter goal assisted by Kyle Van Doren-Crooker 

  • Van Doren-Crooker would score two goals in the third quarter with one of them being assisted by Brodi Freeman 

  • Foster-Major would continue to make the MCLA defense pay, scoring another goal assisted by Van Doren-Crooker 

  • Hamilton would score his third goal of the day midway through the third to put the Terriers ahead 9-2 

  • Late in the third quarter, Morrill would score three unassisted goals in under a minute, putting the Terriers ahead 12-2 after the end of the third quarter 

  • Hunter Crocker would continue to keep the momentum going for the Terriers in the fourth quarter with an early goal assisted by Van Doren-Crooker 

  • Van Doren-Crooker would score another unassisted goal, and Tyler Roberge would find the back of the net for his first collegiate goal of his career midway through the fourth quarter

  • The Trailblazers would score twice in the fourth quarter, but the Terriers would hold on to pick up a dominant 15-4 victory on the road
