Waterville, ME – Women's Basketball was outdueled at home against the Husson University Eagles on Saturday, December 7
th, 2024. The final score was 66-79 in the second conference game of the season.

How it Happened:
- The Terriers fell into a hole early, with the Eagles jumping out to an early 11-2 lead.
- Layups from Sky Kubwalo and Pryelle Kesse-Beda cut the Eagle lead later in the quarter.
- Going into the second the Terriers found themselves down 13-23 but looked to bounce back.
- The Terriers started the second quarter on a roll, going on an 11-1 to tie things up at 24-24.
- Important points from Kubwalo helped lead the Terriers back into the game.
- After some back-and-forth play, the Terriers took the lead with two minutes remaining thanks to three straight points from Mollie Gray
- The Terriers held the lead until 17 seconds left in the half, when the Eagles scored from a layup to take a 37-36 lead going into halftime.
- The Eagles began the third quarter with four quick points, then a 10-0 run minutes later to make things 51-38.
- With two minutes left in the third the Terriers battled back, scoring six straight points thanks to Kay McLellan, Annabelle Morris, and Yaribel Pena.
- Despite the scoring run the Terriers entered the fourth quarter down 50-63.
- Both teams traded points to begin the final quarter, with Elena Alderman hitting two three-point shots in quick succession to make it 69-58.
- With four minutes remaining Kubwalo scored five straight points, but it wasn't enough as the Terriers eventually fell 66-79.
