Biddeford, ME – Men's Basketball competed in the first official (and earliest possible) NCAA Division III Basketball game in the country for the 2024/2025 season as they traveled to take on the University of New England Nor'easter's this morning for a 12:01 AM tip-off on Friday, November 8
th, 2024.

University of New England: Overall (1-0), CNE (0-0)
How it Happened:
- The Nor'easter's jumped out to an early 15-7 lead early, but the Terriers were able to battle back to make it a one-point game thanks to points from Shareef Jones, Luke Gabloff, and Camryn Yorke.
- Despite the momentum the Nor'easters then went on a 10-4 run to extend their lead to 25-18.
- Luke Briggs scored the last five points in the half with just under two minutes left in the quarter to make it 31-37 going into the break.
- Both teams traded points early in the second half, with layups coming from Yorke, Briggs, and Jackson Ruelke to make it 35-43.
- With 12 minutes left in the game the Nor'Easters went on a 9-2 run to make it 61-49.
- The Terriers were able to respond, going on a 6-2 run a few minutes later to put them back within 10 points.
- The Terriers put their best efforts forward to make a comeback, ending the game on a 6-1 run thanks to points from Faron Cureton and Jacob Bouchard.
- Despite the comeback bid, the Terriers ultimately came up short 78-90.
