  • In the 31st minute a looping ball found its way to the goal line of the Terriers net, but Tre Burgess was able to clear it, preventing an almost certain goal.
  • Three minutes later the Eagles were awarded a penalty kick and were able to convert despite a diving Fischer.
  • Both teams went into halftime with one goal each and looked to take momentum.
  • The second half was a defensive battle, as both teams combined for only one shot on goal.
  • The only shot on goal in the second half came in the 73rd minute, as Joseph had his shot saved by the Eagles goalkeeper.

  • Fischer was forced to make two good saves in the 99th minute to help keep things level, which meant a second overtime soon followed.
  • Neither team was able to generate any shots or clear-cut chances in the second overtime.
  • Fischer was able to dive and make two incredible saves to begin the shootout, while Joseph, Burgess, and Woodrow all scored their attempts.
  • The clinching shot fell on the shoulders of Andrew Hodgins, who calmly placed the ball into the net, sending the goalkeeper the wrong way to end the game with a huge playoff victory.
