Waterville, ME – Six different Terriers scored as field hockey rolled to a 7-0 win against the Plymouth State University Panthers on Tuesday, October 8
th, 2024.

How it Happened:
- Right off the jump Julia Reny was able to weave through several Panther defenders and found the back of the net within the first 47 seconds to give the Terriers a 1-0 lead.
- The Terriers continued the pressure, earning seven more shots in the quarter, but none could find the back of the net.
- The Panthers began the second quarter with a penalty corner, forcing Terrier goalkeeper Elise Syphers to make a good save.
- With five minute to go until halftime Reny found Leah Knight off of a penalty corner, and Knight scored to give the Terriers a 2-0 lead.
- Just 40 seconds later Reny scored again, scoring a solo goal to make it 3-0 going into halftime.
- Five minutes into the third quarter the Terriers were able to take advantage of another penalty corner.
- Kara Richards inserted the ball to Maci Freeman, and Samantha Thebarge sent a rocket past the Panthers goalkeeper to make it 4-0.
- With three minutes to go in the quarter Syphers was forced to make another good save to keep the shutout.
- Hilary Howard was able to score early on in the fourth to make it 5-0 from a scramble in front of the Panther goal.
- Less than a minute later Reny found Avery Herrick, who scored to make it 6-0.
- With five minutes to go in the game Richards found a lane and sent a backhand rocket to the side netting to wrap up day's scoring.
- Neither team could find the back of the net in the closing minutes, and the Terriers walked away with a huge 7- 0 home victory.
