Waterville, ME – Men's Soccer won in emphatic fashion at home as they defeated Maine Maritime Academy by a score of 5-0 for their seventh straight win on Friday, October 4
th, 2024.

How it Happened:
- It didn't take long for the Terriers to get going, as they generated five shots in the first 17 minutes.
- In the 18th minute David Ivarsson found Joshua Joseph on a cross, and Joseph scored to give the Terriers an important 1-0 lead.
- Just four minutes later Joseph sent in a ball that found Micky Woodrow, and that eventually found the head of Tristan Kjartansson, who scored to make it 2-0.
- In the 31st minute Joseph sent in a corner kick that was touched down by Harry Clough and found the foot of Isaiah Francis to make it 3-0.
- Two minutes later the Terriers scored again, with Kjartansson finding Ivarsson, who powered the ball into the net to give the Terriers an emphatic 4-0 lead.
- The Mariners opened up the second half well, generating two shots on goal in a span of a few minutes that needed to be saved by Terrier goalkeeper Jamie Fischer.
- In the 61st minute Zayin Clugh was able to dribble by a Mainer Defender, powering the ball past the goalkeeper at the near post to make it 5-0.
- In the 70th minute a Mariner shot looked to be headed to the top right corner from distance but flew inches by the post of a diving Fischer, nearly ending the shutout.
- Neither team could generate any quality chances for the rest of the match, and the Terriers walked away with a huge 5-0 conference win.
