Waterville, ME – Women's Volleyball hosted their first match as a reinstated program, but ultimately fell to the Saint Joseph's College of Maine Monks by a score of 0-3 on Thursday, October 18
th, 2024.
Thomas College: Overall (4-10), NAC (3-1)
Saint Joseph's College of Maine: Overall (9-13), GNAC (5-2)
How it Happened:
- The Monks got out to a quick start, taking a 7-3 lead over the Terriers.
- Despite a service ace from Kenn Zarger, the Monks went on a 12-1 run to eventually take the first set 25-11
- The Terriers took an early 3-1 lead in set two thanks to another service ace from Zarger and a few errors from the Monks.
- The Monks battled back and ended the set on a 6-0 run to win set two 25-15.
- Both teams traded points to begin the third set thanks to multiple kills from Einy Mendez.
- Despite a 4-0 run by the Terriers late in the set, The Monks were able to close out the set 25-17 to win the match 3-0.
